SESSION RECAP
Successes
Serving as your State Representative is an incredible honor. This year, I worked with my colleagues to advance policies that reflect our shared values—and I remain committed to working alongside you.
One of my top priorities has been ensuring stable funding for essential services, infrastructure, and public programs. With a projected budget shortfall, we took a balanced approach.
We implemented responsible spending adjustments and equitable revenue measures to protect working families, invest in affordable housing, and promote economic stability and support for small businesses.
In my first year as a legislator, I’m proud to share some of the issues I’ve focused on in my work across the aisle this session:
Improving public safety across our communities, including bringing forward legislation to strengthen consequences for offenders who commit rape resulting in pregnancy, enhance crisis response services, and update Washington’s strip search policies to better protect individual dignity.
Expanding housing opportunities, creating new funding pathways for permanently affordable homes and easing the financial burden on first-time homebuyers.
Protecting our environment by supporting legislation to promote wildfire resilience, strengthen recycling programs, and integrate environmental justice into state policies.
Additionally, education remains a cornerstone of the passed budget. I’m working hard to ensure every student has access to quality learning, addressing inequities in school resources, and supporting educators to build a stronger future for our students.
A well-structured budget is more than numbers—it lays the foundation for a thriving Washington. I look forward to seeing these investments benefit our community in the 48th district!
